My name is Joanna Maselli, and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher currently working at a high school in Vaughan, Ontario.
My current role is Subject Head of Dramatic Arts, meaning I am both a classroom teacher and a curriculum leader for my school's drama department, and I am a member of my school's leadership team and my board's subject heads' committee for drama and dance. During my time with my current school board, I've worked as a Drama teacher, English teacher, Teacher-Librarian and Literacy Lead, and I've taught a variety of other subjects while also serving on various committees (wellbeing, modern learning, professional development) and supervising various extracurricular activities for students (Ontario Drama Festival, drama councils, school newspapers). I've worked in three different schools, including teaching drama and theatre arts for a regional arts program. I've also worked as a teaching assistant at the university level, running mandatory seminars for third and fourth year dramatic arts courses. I hold a 1st Class Honours B.A. in Dramatic Arts, with a concentration in Theatre Arts, and have experience working alongside professional artists on large productions as an assistant director and a dramaturge.
